Sculpture can evoke many emotions.
My sculpture is made from a white limestone from the South Island of New Zealand.
It speaks of the natural forms found in nature… the unfurling fern frond, the flowing water, or the secret of a germinating seed.
I like to look at things closely and use designs from nature to make statements about them- sometimes creating small delicate statues of only a foot or two high, and other times making mighty monoliths which can’t be ignored.
Because of the nature of this stone, light throws great contrasts upon it, forming deep shadows against pure white.
I hope you enjoy looking through pictures of my statues as much as I enjoyed making them.
