Entwined (view1)1019 viewsMe just doodling with stone again and trying to get a shape which makes the stone look fluid. Had fun with this one and different people see different things in it.Apr 03, 2016

Nikau palm II1333 viewsI enjoy looking at the natural environment around me and constantly find myself drawn to the wonderful forms of the New Zealand bush. In this piece I explore the contrasting shapes of the Nikau Palm – the soft curves and sharp angles of the fronds, the rough rings where old fronds have broken away and the smooth trunk, and the tangle of berries.

Art Deco Birdbath1055 viewsI don't often work with angles and lines as I'm not truly comfortable with too much structure or symmetry - but I had this idea, and I played with lines and angles - and I think it would sit beautifully outside an Art Deco house that uses similar ideas. (SOLD)Apr 03, 2016

River Song1017 viewsI was sitting on the banks of the Waipawa River one day, throwing stones in and watching the ripples made when I found myself transfixed by the movement of water over and around stones. I watched the way the water swirled and flowed making patterns in light and form.
It always intrigues me trying to replicate movement in something really static like stone – it is so rigid and fixed - so I saw it as a challenge.
