Wavy fern leaf1570 viewsAs a teenager I used to be taken on bush walks by my parents – both of whom were very knowledgeable about plants and trees. They used to argue amongst themselves about specific botanic names and tell me the most amazing things about the plants we passed by. “Wavy fern†(not its biological name – sorry Mum and Dad) is not a small fern but a large glossy one – which I love the undulating shapes.

Great Expectations (II)1166 viewsI was asked to carve a bigger version of this statue to go outside of the new birthing Unit in Hastings. So instead of 60cm tall, this lady stands 1.3m. So she is taller and a bit further along in her pregnancy. I hope the people going in to the hospital enjoy her.

spikey sea-shell1589 viewsI actually dug a spikey shell out of our garden and have no idea how it got here so far from the sea. This is what gave me the idea for this statue which is slightly modified to allow for strength. I really like the contrast between the soft curves and the viscious looking spikes.
750mm tall

Dark side of the Moon1598 viewsOK. I admit it. Pink Floyd did come to mind several times when I was making this. Another of my 'weird phase' as my husband puts it... But I had fun making it.
Four pieces pinned together standing about 1.5metres tall.
